The passenger walkway at the airport is to close

The passenger walkway that connects Prat Airport district station with the airport terminals is to close for a two-month period in order to start the work envisaged to construct the tunnel for the L9 underground line and the new Intermodal Station projected for this area.
During this time, travellers will have to cover this route by bus. Between 05.30 and 24.00 a service consisting of 8 buses will be provided to transfer users reaching the district station to Terminal B of the airport, where the walkway is, and vice versa. The train and bus timetables have been co-ordinated to facilitate combinations. All night long, there will also be 4 minibuses to transfer Aena workers who habitually use this walkway to reach the train station.
A specific campaign has been designed so that passengers are informed at all times of the process and the alternative services set up. In this sense, the special measures envisage:
A team of 15 people to deal with travellers at all times. They will be situated in the Renfe railway station, the access to the walkway from the airport and inside the buses provided.
The distribution of more than 20,000 informative leaflets which will inform about the closure of the walkway, the duration of the work and the alternative route by bus.
