The summer schedule starts

This Sunday morning, 30 March, our clocks move ahead by one hour in order to optimise taking advantage of the morning hours of sun and extending the time with natural light in the afternoons, thus reducing energy use related to artificial lighting.
The summer schedule, which will last seven months, shall enter into force at two am, jumping ahead to three am. This measure will be applied systematically throughout the EU. According to the Catalan Energy Institute (ICAEN), this initiative will entail a total savings of 17 million euros in Catalonia.
