Welcome to the AGAUR’s website.

The Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) is an instrument for service and support to individuals and institutions constituting the Catalan academic and research system. Compared with similar bodies in other countries, the AGAUR is a young agency established in 2001, so this year marks its tenth anniversary.

Throughout this decade, we have been a reference agency, which has helped to finance 700 Catalan researchers abroad and to bring over foreign researchers to Catalonia. Over 1,200 research groups have been recognised, of which 780 have been financed.

There has also been strengthened incorporation of PhDs into the business fabric, increasing the connection between businesses and public research and innovation sector. In addition, university grants for 151 million euros have been managed. These are our credentials, which are provided by from a high-qualified staff: the people who work in the AGAUR.

We want to make your role as researcher and university student easier from this website. Now we want to contribute to excellence of research in Catalonia by implementing policies from the Secretary for Universities and Research under the Department of Economy and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia. In this website you will find all scholarships and grants for university students, pre and post-doctorate scholarships and grants and the support to research in companies, research centres and institutions in Catalonia, among other issues of interest.
