  Rights and obligations
Health care is recognised as a basic human right. The citizens of Catalonia are covered by CatSalut and have a number of rights and obligations in regard to health care issues.
  he Department of Health and Social Security of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalonia's regional government) has prepared a bill of citizens' rights and obligations in relation to health and health care services. The right to equality and non-discrimination is a basic right on which the other rights depend.
 
Health care
The rights and obligations of citizens who use the health care system, based on article 43 of the Constitution, which recognises the right to health care.
