What is CatSalut?
 
CatSalut, ie, the Catalan Health Service, is the public body responsible for guaranteeing the provision of health services to all citizens in Catalonia.

What does CatSalut do?
 
· CatSalut plans, purchases and assesses health services according to the health needs of the population.

· CatSalut works as the guarantor of health provisions so that health, economic and human resources are at the service of citizens with criteria based on equality, quality and efficiency.
· CatSalut buys these services from its various providers using contracts which set out the health objectives and services being bought.

How is the Catalan health service funded?
  Funding for the Catalan health service comes exclusively from State budgets.
