Since the year 2000, CatSalut has been progressively guaranteeing care for some surgical procedures that limits waiting times to six months. Over the next few years, CatSalut will extend guaranteed maximum waiting time limits to other surgical procedures.

For 2004 we'll be able to monitor two new pathologies, the pilonidal
cyst (sacrum cyst) and the hallux valgus (bunion).
For the Septoplasty (reconstruction of the nasal passage) and vasectomy
they will be monitored separate.
At CatSalut, as a guarantee of the health care for all citizens, we arrange surgical procedures in the different hospitals.
If the procedure cannot be carried out within the time limit of six
months at the hospital where it is scheduled, CatSalut will propose
an alternative centre when you can be operated.
