Associació Catalana de Fibrosi Quística
The Catalan Cystic Fibrosis Association was founded on 18 June 1988 by a group of parents of children with cystic fibrosis. Its mission is to work with all the people involved to improve the quality of life of people with cystic fibrosis and their families, to fight the causes of the disease and encourage the active participation of patients, families and society as a whole.
It offers:
· Information and training for patients and their families.
· Support, accompaniment and advice for patients.
· Support for research, professional training and the consolidation of cystic fibrosis units..
· Coordination with similar organisations.
· Initiatives for solidarity with patient associations in less developed countries.
· Publication of information and relations with the professionals (teachers, social workers, etc.) and public and private organisations involved.
