Catalan Organisational Model
Advisory committees
Advisory committees are made up of professionals whose functions include providing the Catalan Health Service and Ministry of Health and Social Security with information and opinions on specific health issues that may be useful for planning and making rational use of available resources in order to ensure the community has access to the healthcare that best suits its needs.
With regard to transplantation, different advisory committees have been set up to discuss scientific, technical, ethical, legal and organisational issues relating to this activity and to work with OCATT to carry out its functions.
Each committee is made up of experts in their field, as well as OCATT representatives.
