University third language training programme
The university third language training programme reflects the strategic impulse to which the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia is committed in terms of introducing education in other languages for university students.

Research Plan III
Research Plan III for Catalonia (2001-2004) addressed: Driving the growth and quality of the Catalan science and technology system.
Increase human resources assigned to R&D.
Promote the internationalisation of the research carried out in Catalonia.
Stimulate the involvement of business in research, development and innovation to encourage better management and more efficient communication of R&D activities.

Research Plan II
Research Plan II for Catalonia (1997-2000) established, as general objectives: the strengthening of competitiveness of Catalan research, improvement of performance of public funds invested in R &D, increasing participation of the private sector in R&D activities, and maximising mechanisms for the transfer of the results of research.
