PAU (university entrance exams):
Re-marking and appeals Once students have received the results of their entrance exam (PAU),
they may request a second correction or make an appeal regarding the questions
to which they consider the general evaluation and specific correction
criteria have been applied incorrectly. These two requests are mutually
exclusive. Re-marking Students may make a request for re-marking of tests to the president of the examination board. Requests for this must be submitted within 3 working days of the date of publication of grades. Exercises being re-marked are checked by a specialised teacher (different from the one who did the original marking). A new re-marked grade is the average of the two scores. If there is a difference of three points or more between them, a different board is to carry out a third marking and assign a new grade. This process must be completed within 5 working days of the closing date for submission of requests for re-marking. A grade given as a result of re-marking can be appealed within 3 days of the publication of the grade. Such appeals must be presented to the organising committee. The decisions of the organising committee are final. Appeals Students may make appeals directly to the organising committee. In this case, requests for re-marking are not allowed. Such requests must be submitted within 3 working days of the date of publication of grades. Exercises for which an appeal request has been submitted undergo a review of the formal aspects and any administrative errors. The decisions of the organising committee are final.
