Personal Aptitude Tests (PAP)


Courses requiring a Personal Aptitude Test (PAP)

To be admitted onto any of these courses, in addition to university pre-enrolment, applicants must take a personal aptitude test and
matriculate in the corresponding centre.

Pre-enrolment and registration for students who seek admission to the following programmes:

Official qualifications
Fine Arts
Physical Education and Sport Sciences
Translation and Interpreting

University-specific qualifications
University-specific higher Degree in Cinema and Audiovisuals
University-specific higher Degree in International Trade

General Information:

Students wishing to join these courses must, in addition to completing the pre-enrolment process, take a personal aptitude test. To do this, students must formally enrol for the test. The form for payment of this fee can be obtained on-line at: http://accesnet.gencat.cat. Students can either pay the fee directly using the link provided, or by submitting the completed form in a branch of the La Caixa bank. Each course sets its own time limit for payment of this fee.


The price of the tests for Fine Arts (UB), Physical Education and Sports Sciences (UB and UdL), Translation and Interpreting - English and French - (UAB and UPF), Cinema and Audiovisuals (UB) and International Trade (UPF) is €84,85; if the student is part of a General Category large family the price is €42,43 and for a Special Category large family, the registration fee for the test is waived. For Physical Education and Sports Sciences (UVic), the price of the test is €30.

On the day of the test, students must provide proof of their identity and a receipt as evidence of having paid the registration fee (students who are members of large families must submit the appropriate documentation, valid for the date of the test).

The results of the test will be made public by 2 July.



Personal aptitude test for official qualifications


Fine Arts (University of Barcelona)

The following are exempt from the test:
- Students who studied the arts option for their secondary school qualification (Batxillerat) or the arts and design option for their experimental high school qualification (Batxillerat).
- Students who have passed an advanced level vocational training cycle in the arts and design.
- Students who passed the personal aptitude test for this centre in 2007.

Documents to be submitted at the University Admissions Advisory Office, together with the application, by 4 July:
- Only students who passed the test the previous year must submit a certificate from the Faculty of Fine Arts stating that they passed the test in 2007.

Physical Education and Sports Sciences (University of Barcelona and University of Lleida)

To be able to take this test, students must submit at any INEFC centre, by 17 june, a photocopy of their identification document, two application forms, their payment receipt (where students are members of a large family, they must also provide the valid documentation proving this), a certified photocopy of their Social Security or private health insurance card guaranteeing their basic healthcare cover and an official medical certificate stating specifically that the applicant is in an appropriate physical condition to carry out physical tests requiring maximum effort.

The applicant should state the centre in which they wish to take the PAP at this time.
The maximum number of applicants per centre is limited to 480.
If the maximum number of applicants is exceeded for one centre, the PAP may be taken at the other centre.
If the maximum number of applicants is exceeded for one centre, each applicant will be assigned the centre at which they may take the PAP by lottery (using the first letter of their surname, in alphabetical order). The result will be made public on Wednesday 18 June.
The list of applicants accepted with their assigned centre in which they may sit the test, the group to which they belong and the time will be made public on Friday 20 June.

The following are exempt from the test:
- Elite level and high perfomance sports people.
Documents to be submitted at the University Admissions Advisory Office, together with the application form, by 4 July:
- Proof that the applicant is an elite level sports person, according to the yearly list published by the Higher Sports Council in the Spanish Official Gazette or the Catalan Sports Council in the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia or a certificate accrediting that the holder is a hitgh performance sports person.

Physical Education and Sports Sciences (University of Vic)

To be able to take this test students must submit an official medical certificate which specifically explicitly states that the student is in an appropriate physical condition to carry out physical tests requiring maximum effort, together with proof of payment, at de University of Vic by 19 June.

The following are exempt from the test:
- Elite level and high perfomance sports people.
- Students who passed the test in 2007 at the UVic.

Documents to be submitted at the University Admissions Advisory Office or at its Vic office by 4 July, together with the application form:
- Proof that the applicant is an elite level sports person, according to the yearly list published by the Higher Sports Council in the Spanish Official Gazette or the Catalan Sports Council in the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia or a certificate accrediting that the holder is a high perfomance sports person.

- a certificate stating that they passed the test in 2007 at the UVic..

If there are still places available for the September pre-enrolment, the UVic will hold personal aptitude tests in September and
will set a new enrolment period for the test.
