Inter-University Board

The Inter-University Board of Catalonia is the coordination mouthpiece of the university system of Catalonia and of consultation and assessment of the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia in university matters.

It is made up of rectors, presidents of social boards and other representatives of the universities of Catalonia, as well as by members of the Department of Universities, Research and the Information Society. It is presided over by the minister of this Department.

The objectives of the Inter-University Board are:

• The co-ordination between the university community and the education Administration.
• Information and guidance addressed at students about all the university studies offered by the universities of Catalonia.
• To promote actions aimed at improving the efficiency of the university system in Catalonia.
• To promote the training programme in third languages at the university.
• To promote and disseminate the studies of the universities of Catalonia.
