For
the fifth consecutive year, the Palau Robert Centre for Information
on Catalonia and FEEC, the Catalan Federation of Rambling Clubs,
have jointly produced a programme of guided walks with the aim of
promoting hiking for all, with no age limit. The only requirements
are a minimal degree of fitness and curiosity about nature and Catalonia's
cultural heritage.
Periodically,
an FEEC member rambling club will lead a hike selected from amongst
the more than 700 routes on the Palau Robert database. This programme
of guided walks, which will take place approximately every five
weeks, will take walkers to outstanding beauty spots in Catalonia,
accompanied by guides from the rambling club organising the trip
who will inform them about the landscape, flora and fauna, climate
and history of each place.
Participants
should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes and suitable
footwear for walking in the mountains.
This
calendar may be subject to change.
